Happy birthday and this and that(edited w/ new pics)

This has been a busy busy week....last week of school, 4 baseball games, last scout meeting of the year and Dad's birthday! I didn't ge tmany pictures taken, so I'll probably steal some of my sister's whenever she post them.... And we got our first beautiful red strawberries this weekend...the boys were very excited, and of course taste tested them.

my mothers day

I think the best thing about Mother's day is that it makes mom feel appreciated. So much that moms do never gets acknowledged, and so it's nice to have a day that says, yes, moms are important.
So as a mom, for me, it's not really the gifts that matter....it's just the acknowledgement that I matter. And so best gifts this year was the gift of knowing my boys (Randy included) care about me. I had to work for a few hours on Sunday, so Randy took the boys to get me a present. Before they even got to a store, Austin told Randy he knew what to get me...it was at Target...he wanted to get me a chair I had looked at. He showed Randy exactly where it was, and told him I wanted to get it but it was too expensive. The boys thought I should have blue to match my eyes...
To me the best gift I got yesterday was not a chair, it was knowing I have raised two sweet, thoughtful boys that really do pay attention after all. I felt like a good mom.
