So Drew has had a wobbly tooth for awhile. He hit it on something a while ago, and it's been kind of loose, but getting looser. He hasn't been able to eat apples unless I slice them for a few months. So today he was eating baby carrots and for some reason he bit it with his front tooth, and he tooth started bleeding, he freaked out (he can't stand the site of blood), by the time he calms down and I look at it, it's still hanging in there. We didn't try to pull it because I was afraid he'd freak out more. So an hour later he's "just touching it" and it falls out! It's his 3rd lost tooth, but his first top one...something about the top teeth that's special...
Tonight before bed he tells me he doesn't want to put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy, he wants to keep it (hmmm...sounds familiar....I think I still have a little box with a couple teeth in in too that I didn't want to cash in). So after some discussion he wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking to keep it, but maybe still get some gum.
Maybe the tooth fairy is up for negotiations these days, hhmm?

Austin told us tonight that "when you mix hot and cold water together you get warm." I said that's right, very good!
Then he said, "yah, when you mix warm and hot you get cold" I said I don't know about that...
Austin said "yah, it does, I know because I'm smart...I don't need to go to kindergarden"
Andrew pipped up, "Austin, you have to go to kindergarden to learn all kinds of stuff..."
Austin said "no Drew, you just come home and tell me all the stuff you know and then I know it... I don't want to go to Kindergarden, I want to stay home all day with momma"
Such a sweetie....at least we have one more year before his school starts. And I have one more year to teach him that warm and hot don't make cold...
