Autographs

Mizzou had a day last week that you could come get autographs from all the players on the football team. Randy wanted to go and bring the boys....which they loved because they got to go on the real field! As we got there they were giving out posters, so I got one for Drew, and he had the best time getting autographs! There were lots of underclassmen on the field that had no line (because they haven't played yet) and Drew had a great time going up to them....they were real football players! Randy got there early to wait in Chase Daniel's line(he's the quarterback), and we caught up with him just in time for Drew to get his and some of the ohter "real " players autographs. He was talking to them all, and they all told him how cool his spiderman sunglasses were... He really had a good time!
Austin ran all over the field with our neighbor, Logan, and had a good time- he really didn't care about the autographs...

Train and Fair

What a weekend! Thursday we took the train out of Jeff Ctiy to Washington. After a 2 hour delay, we had a great trip out there... and then the boys got to go to the Town and Country Fair.... to say they had fun was an understatement!

They loved the caterpillar roller coaster...you can see the boys screaming!

Austin playing in a huge "corn box"

Thanks Papa (and Oma) for taking us to the fair!

For my dad...

I am writing this just to let my dad know that I love him very much and that the State of Missouri can go to he** for what they are doing to you right now.
I am so lucky to have you for my Dad...The only thing better than having you for a dad is my children having you for a grandpa. I'm so glad they have you in their life!
Why is my dad the best?
He's got the biggest heart,
he's patient,
his love has always been there for me, he teaches by his actions,
he used to put the funiest notes in my lunch...and sent the funniest letters,
he can make people laugh with a look,
all my friends love him,
he looks like Richard Dryfus,
he's kind hearted..... I could keep going on....
The boys say they love Papa O because he's silly and he makes cool airplanes for them.

Everything happens for a reason, dad, and maybe this is just a blessing in disguise.

You have so many people that love you and know you are a wonderful person...

especially your family.
(and even Chevy)

Royals game...

On Saturday we took a trip to Kansas City to see the Royals game. The boys had a great time....we ate lunch at Fritz's Railroad resturant again, and then headed to the stadium. They had some pregame stuff going on...they got their faces painted, got to play a few games, we all got bobble heads of Dan Quisenberry, which the boys love (although they call tehm bottle heads). Andrew got an autograph of Zach Grienke, #23, a Royals pitcher...
All was well, but hot, until the 5th inning, when the skies opened and it started pouring....we were smashed like sardines in the consourse...we found a little pocket and waited it out, they eventually did start playing again, and the boys paid more attention because people in front of us had cleared out. Kansas city just put in this new double decker jumbo-tron, and the boys mission became to get shown on it (they show the fans between innings on it). So right before the 7th inning, they were dancing to "hand jive" and got shown on the screen.....I think it was the highlight of their trip!

This is slugger, the Royals mascot...

The royals have this cool fountain in the outfield...it does different designs and lights up different colors.... Here's the field after the rain...

This is the player that signed Drew's ball....and Drew with his autograph...

This is the jumbo-tron...this picture doesn't do justice to how huge it was...I didn't get a pic of them on it...it all happened too fast!
