blast from the past...

So this post may mean nothing to most of you, but for the few that have known me since grade school....I've been cleaning....look, I found a sales kit! We used to have to lug these things home every year to sell the stuff in them (and the stuff would never fit back in there). The age of the internet has sure changed school fundraisers...

And I found my sticker books! We used to trade stickers (along with friendship beads and bracelets), and these were the coolest stickers.

remember these little books you could buy?

My little cabage patch kid, and one of the Get Along Gang!

and ET phones home....

these stickers were lickable....

Mystery reader

Every month Andrew's class has a mystery reader come and read them a story...and Friday Drew was very surprised to have Papa show up!

Here's a video I took with my cell phone, so the audio is not the best....

This week Drew's class is leading the school prayer in the morning....you can see drew on the right hand side-opposite his teacher...

This weekend, Randy got tickets from work to the Mizzou basketball game...the boys had a good time....we were as high as you could get, but it was a sell out, and the seats weren't too bad. These pictures are from my cell phone, so they're kind of grainy....

new stuff....

I apologize for taking so long to do a new post....
Here's what we've been up to.... Here's Austin on his first day of preschool! He is going to school twice a week (3 hours a day). It's an early childhood education center, and he is a "peer mentor"... so far he likes it, and so far 6 hours a week hasn't been too hard on mom...
Andrew has had alot of scout stuff going on... he had his first pinewood derby, which although he didn't place, he had fun creating his car and watching everybody race. He also was awarded his bobcat badge, which he was very proud of...

"Based on recent 2008 statistics, we are losing World War II veterans at the rate of approximately 1,000 per day."

Last night we lost the only one that really mattered to me.

My grandpa "cappy" Kamler passed away last night. He had been fighting the effects of diabetes for several years now, and last night his heart had enough. I know he's in such a better place now, and not in pain anymore.... but this is still hard.

I love the saying "Life is a journey, not a destination". I have great memories of the small part of grandpa's journey that I was a part of...

I'll post more later when I get the details of when his funeral will be.
