Tae Kwan

Ever since Austin saw the movie Kung Fu Panda, he has been doing and talking about Karate...so we signed him up for an intro to Tae Kwan Do class, and he's been doing it once a week. Needless to say, he loves it...and he's actually very good at it...he absorbs every word the instructor says, and comes home and shows Drew exactly what he learned that night....
These pictures don't do justice to how cute he is doing it....be sure to ask him when you see him!
The last two pictures are from Tuesday, Andrew's class got to plan the school mass, and Andrew brought the bread up. His class did the reading and petitions, and did a great job....

Art Museum

After the science center, I took the boys over to the St Louis Art Museum to see the ancient egypt exhibit. Andrew has been asking to see the mummy for quite awhile....
And he loved it...

The boys want to come back to sled Art Hill....

I love this...Austin is walking like an egytptian....

The details on these were amazing...it's crazy to think these were all painted by hand....

this one was Drew's favorite...

looking at a case full of shabtis, which are little carved statues that egyptians thought would come to life through magic spells and do all the work in the afterlife for them.

these are jars the boys are looking at called Canopic Jars. This is where the mummy's internal organs were put. There are hieroglyphics carved into the front, and the different heads are the different gods who protect the organs.

sue the t-rex!

I'm not sure where, but the boys and I saw a movie about finding sue, the t-rex, and so when we heard it was coming to the science center, we were pretty excited.
So we went with Papa O yesterday to see her! The boys had fun with all the hands on stuff before hand, and then we got an extra special treat, as the science center has a baby mummy on dispay now!
We got to see Sue, and she was pretty cool. It's amazing to thing she was once walking around South Dakota...

sorry about the posting!

I feel so bad for not posting lately! We actually have been busy...we visited Halfway a couple weekends ago and I took Reaghan's 3 month pictures! And then this past weekend, we got to see

Oma and Papa because Borgia played at state for basketball...and won State class 4 on Saturday!

Here's a couple new pics....the first is of Reaghan,

the second is of Austin and Addison....according to Austin he is going to marry her.... he was going to live next door to me, but then was moving to Washington so his kids could swim at the YMCA, and this week he is moving to Hawaii....

I'll get on some pictures this week so I can get a good post up!

blast from the past...

So this post may mean nothing to most of you, but for the few that have known me since grade school....I've been cleaning....look, I found a sales kit! We used to have to lug these things home every year to sell the stuff in them (and the stuff would never fit back in there). The age of the internet has sure changed school fundraisers...

And I found my sticker books! We used to trade stickers (along with friendship beads and bracelets), and these were the coolest stickers.

remember these little books you could buy?

My little cabage patch kid, and one of the Get Along Gang!

and ET phones home....

these stickers were lickable....
