I survived....

....the first day of school. Austin started Kindergarden.

Austin in his classroom...he has Mrs Odum, who was Drew's teacher. I know I left him in the best possible hands...

Andrew has Mrs Wulff for 2nd grade...

first stiches....

And no, it's not Austin.... we were playing at the neighbor's yesterday and the boys bonked heads.... Andrew had his sunglasses on and I guess they hit just wrong.

Andrew was very brave and got three stiches...

Austin only has a bruise....

we always said Austin drinks so much milk his bones must be pretty strong....

growing too fast...

So I've already been dreading this week. Wednesday my baby will go to kindergarden, and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how this is possible, and how my eight years of being a mom with kids at home with me is coming to an end. So this weekend Austin decided to make sure I understand that he is really this big.....he took his training wheels off....and wrode with two wheels!
I am very proud of him...he was so proud of himself...

The boys decorated these shirts themselves....Austin did science experiments on his, and Drew drew an egyptian scene....

Summer

Now that summer's almost over, I thought I'd post some of pictures of our summer stuff.... when given a choice, the boys will vote to go to Steven's Lake to swim and mostly play in the sand....

Meteors!!!

It's that time of year again...the Perseid Meteors will be in the night sky these next couple of nights. If you've never seen a shooting star, this is the time to look! You have a chance to see on anytime after 9 or 10 (look in the northeast sky) but they say between midnight and 5 should be the best.... here's a link to an article that can give you more details....

The boys have become good pickle pickers....

Last week Aunt Lauren was in town visiting, so we went out to see her....

Today we figured out what's been eating our tomatoes...Chevy found it on our deck.... a racoon!

Nobody would come get it (unless we paid), but the MDC girl told me to make lots of noise, so we beat pots and pans, screamed and threw some rocks...the nieghbors probably think we're nuts...
Randy finally got him off the porch with a broom (after the stupid thing tried climbing up our house...)
